Vinod Dass aka Wovensound is a Straits Times / NME featured producer/musician/educator who holds a Degree in Audio Engineering and Music Production from JMC Academy in Melbourne. His craft reflects a unique ability to connect genres and voices, creating rich narratives that resonate across different genres ranging from Pop, Hiphop, Classical to metal. His collaborations include work with local artists such as Layyi, Dru Chen, RENE, Abang Sapau, Gentle Bones among many others.
His musical work has been featured in NME Asia, Bandwagon, The Straits Times, and CNA, with an EP being celebrated in a list of best EPs of 2023 by Bandwagon. His sound design work has been featured globally n Film Festivals around the world (Melbourne/IRAN/Mexico/NewYork). He also produces and composes for brands and companies such as the TENG Company, Prudential, ONE championship and ASUS among others.
His passion for the live stage also brought him to Brisbane, Australia to play at the Dead of Winter Festival (2019) as well as being able to open for Multi Major award winner Hariharan in 2019. Most recently he was part of the lineup for Singapore’s biggest local festival Baybeats (2021) as well Formula 1 Night Race (2022).
